The reason you can't find a prescribed mix ratio for C40 is it doesn't exist. BS5328 only goes up to 25N and anything above 20N can't be mixed with all in ballast. That's not to say you couldn't end up with a mix higher than 25N - just that it's not predictable based on the mix ratio. The only way to guarantee 40N is readymix.
