The Pellet Mill. After drying, the sawdust is pressed through dies at high pressure. This process causes the sawdust to heat up and release natural lignins in the wood that bind the sawdust together. The mill also determines the density of the pellet, the diameter, the durability, and the length.
Typical press temperatures range from 132° to 165°C (270° to 330°F) for softwood plywood, and 107° to 135°C (225° to 275°F) for hardwood plywood. Press times generally range from 2 to 7 minutes. The time and temperature vary depending on the wood species used, the resin used, and the press design.
The biggest difference is speed. For instance most routers run 20k+ RPM, while a drill press might run between 600-3000 rpm. This is a HUGE Difference. A commercial milling machine might be able to handle 4000rpm or more, but does it with a mechanically moved milling bed, a vice and a 6-7hp motor. This has 'bad idea' written all over it.
Surely it would do a far better job for milling plastics, wood and aluminum than any homemade spindle or Dremel. Router mounts for CNC machines are readily available on eBay at low prices too. My 2hp fixed base router will glide through wood or even aluminum with 1/4" end mills. My dremel couldn't cut a paper bag with the micro end mills I bought.
